1. Cookies and local storage — concepts
A „cookie" is a small text file your browser stores on your device. „Local storage" (LocalStorage) is a similar browser-side store that can hold larger amounts of data and persists across sessions. GDPR and the ePrivacy directive treat both technologies the same way.
almodozoo.hu uses the following categories of cookies and local storage:
- Necessary (always on, legal basis: legitimate interest, GDPR 6(1)f) — cart, shipping preference, checkout flow.
- Analytics(only with consent) — Google Analytics 4 cookies (`_ga`, `_ga_<stream>`) for anonymous traffic measurement.
- Marketing (only with consent) — Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel and Pinterest Tag cookies for ad campaign measurement and personalisation.
Analytics and marketing categories are activated only after your explicit consent — until then the Google, Meta, TikTok and Pinterest tags all run in the „denied" state (Consent Mode v2 advanced) and set no cookies.

Google handles GA data anonymously, with IP anonymisation (`anonymize_ip: true`); any transfer to the United States is based on Google's certification under the EU-USA Data Privacy Framework. 4. Other embedded services

5. Cookie banner and Consent Mode v2 (advanced)
On your first visit a cookie banner appears with three choices: Accept all / Necessary only / Preferences (toggle per category). The choice is stored for 12 months; afterwards we re-prompt. Google Consent Mode v2 advanced defaults to DENIED — only your explicit „Accept" promotes it to GRANTED.
We also respect Sec-GPC (Global Privacy Control) and DNT („Do Not Track"): with these flags the banner is not shown and neither GA nor Pixel activates.
This button clears the stored consent and the hard-opt-out flag, then reloads the page — the banner appears again.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
- Chrome / Edge: DevTools (F12) → „Application" tab → „Local Storage" / „Cookies" → almodozoo.hu → right-click „Clear".
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → remove almodozoo.hu.
- Firefox: DevTools (F12) → „Storage" → almodozoo.hu → right-click „Delete All".
7. Legal basis and your rights
The legal basis for the necessary category is GDPR 6(1)f (legitimate interest — basic webshop functions). The legal basis for analytics and marketing is GDPR 6(1)a — your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time using the button in section 5 or by clearing cookies in your browser.
