Introduction

Two personal details on one lamp

You personalize two things on the Space Traveler. The flag gets the figure and two lines of text — a wish, a name or a short phrase. A name or a short word appears on the wall in the evening, surrounded by stars. For an anniversary, a birthday or just because, as a gift.

Projected on the wall

In the evening the lamp projects this text onto the wall behind it, surrounded by stars. The size of the text depends on how far away the wall is.

The image on the wall is white, not colored — see how it looks in the 3D view, in Evening mode.

Required — one line, up to 12 characters. A name or a short word works best.4/12

Before you add it to the cart, please read the inscription — we don't fix it later. Many people deliberately ask for funny or 'misspelled' text (inside jokes, nicknames), so we don't touch it, to avoid spoiling the gift.

How your text gets onto the wall

  1. The moon glows from inside

An LED shines inside the moon. The white shell of the moon glows softly and lights up the room.

  2. The light passes through the film

On the back of the moon there is a round, colored projection film. Your text and the stars are cut out of it — light only passes through these.

  3. Your text appears on the wall

On the wall behind the lamp your text and the stars appear in soft white light — reading the right way round. Only the film itself is colored; the projected image is white.

  4. The size of the text depends on how far away the wall is: closer means smaller and sharper, further means larger and softer. It looks best in a dark room.

Details

Everything about the Space Traveler ambient lamp

The lamp projects the text and the stars onto the wall behind it. The light on the wall is white — only the film itself is colored. The size and sharpness of the image depend on how far away the wall is; it looks best in a dark room.

A name or a short word works best: shorter text is printed larger on the film, so it is easier to read on the wall.

The moon, the astronaut, the base and the details are all made of PLA by 3D printing — both the white and the brown parts. Every piece is printed separately, so small differences can occur.

The flag is fabric; the figure and the text are applied with a durable heat-bonded process. The projection film has the same colored pattern, with the text and the stars cut out of it; it sits on the back of the moon.

Made by hand, to order, one at a time in a small workshop in Budapest. Small surface differences are a natural part of handmade production, not defects.

A white LED shines inside, with a simple on/off switch — steady light, no flickering. You switch it on and off with the black switch on the base.

The LED, the switch and the battery are separate CE-marked components from a Hungarian retailer. For indoor, decorative use.

It runs on 2 AAA batteries, replaceable from the base. The batteries are included, so you can switch it on right away.

No cable and no mains connection — put it anywhere. When the batteries run down, any AAA batteries will do.

A desk-sized decoration: 95 mm base diameter, 170 mm tall including the flagpole. Since every piece is handmade, differences of a few millimetres can occur.

The Space Traveler ambient lamp is made to your request, with a custom flag and custom projected text, so under Section 29(1)(c) of Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply.

The built-in LED, the switch and the battery are CE-marked components. For indoor, decorative use. Not a toy, not suitable for under-14s. The flagpole is thin — don't lift the lamp by the flag. Keep batteries away from young children.

I make every Space Traveler ambient lamp by hand, one at a time, in a small workshop in Budapest — with your flag and your text.

How we collect reviews

Every customer gets an email after their parcel is delivered, with the same link. We don't pick and choose who we ask.

The link in that email is tied to the order, so we can connect the review to a real purchase. Those reviews carry a “Verified purchase” label.
